Research Data Management workshop in Serbia

In December 2023 a group of librarians and open science enthusiasts organized a workshop on Research Data Management (RDM) for Serbian researchers and librarians. They drew on the training methods and materials tested during EIFL and OpenAIRE open science train-the-trainer bootcamps held during 2023. Participants’ feedback was overwhelmingly positive, writes Milica Ševkušić, EIFL Open Access Programme Project Coordinator, who was one of the workshop trainers.

The Open Science for Ukrainian Higher Education System (Open4UA) Erasmus+ project will host a two-day meeting at the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine in Kyiv. EIFL is a Open4UA project partner, and Iryna Kuchma, EIFL Open Access Programme Manager, will participate in the meeting.

South Africa’s Copyright Bill: don’t let the schedule slip

EIFL has written to the National Assembly, one of South Africa’s two Houses of Parliament, expressing concern at apparent delays in the adoption of the Copyright Amendment Bill (CAB). We urged the committee in charge of the bill (Portfolio Committee on Trade, Industry and Competition) to do all in their power to ensure that the schedule for the Bill is not allowed to slip.
