ERIC, the Educational Resource Information Center contains more than 2,200 digests along with references for additional information and citations and abstracts from over 980 educational and education-related journals.

 Health Source - Consumer Edition

With Health Source - Consumer Edition you can search for information on many health topics including the medical sciences, food sciences and nutrition, childcare, sports medicine and general health. Health Source -Consumer Edition features searchable full text for over 190 journals including Consumer Reports on Health and Men’s Health, as well as abstracts and indexing for over 205 general health, nutrition and professional health care publications.

Communication & Mass Media Complete

Communication & Mass Media Complete provides the most robust, quality research solution in areas related to communication and mass media. This database originated with the acquisition and subsequent merging of two popular databases in the fields of communication and mass media studies -- CommSearch (formerly produced by the National Communication Association (NCA)), and Mass Media Articles Index (formerly produced by Pennsylvania State University). Communication & Mass Media Complete provides an invaluable resource for students, researchers, and educators interested in any and all aspects of communication and mass media.

American Humanities Index

The American Humanities Index, produced by Whitston Publishing, is a collection of bibliographic references to literary, scholarly and creative journals published in the United States and Canada. This database contains over 1,000 journals published from 1975 to the present

 

HighWire Press

HighWire Press (Stanford University Library) began in early 1995 with the online production of the weekly Journal of Biological Chemistry (JBC), the most highly cited (and second largest) peer-reviewed journal.  Scientists and societies rapidly saw the potential for new forms and features of scientific communication, and Science and Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences soon joined JBC online.  HighWire now (September 2001) offers approximately 1200 journals online, with many more planned.  The journals that HighWire supports focus on science, technology, and medicine (STM) and are preponderantly among the highest-impact journals in their fields. 

  Institute of Physics Publishing

 The Institute of Physics is a leading international professional body and learned society, established to promote the advancement and dissemination of a knowledge of and education in the science of physics, pure and applied.  The Institute has a world-wide membership and is a major international force in:

·        scientific publishing and the electronic dissemination of physics;

·        setting professional standards for physicists and awarding professional qualifications;

·        promoting physics through scientific conferences, education and science policy advice.

In 2002, these award-winning online journals will come with an 11-year full-text archive (1991-2001) and a 33-year abstract archive (1969-2001).

The journals offer users an extensive range of customisation options and three levels of service: standard, enhanced and remote.  In addition to providing links to other publishers' journals through the CrossRef and SFX initiatives, IoPP's journals also provide links to the INSPEC database and the Los Alamos pre-print server.

Offers more than 74 journals in the following fields: Biology, botany, zoology, biochemistry, etc. The database basically comprises the publications   of research institutes, zoological and botanical gardens, scientific societies  and many other organizations from the USA, like American Museum of Natural History, International Association of Vegetation Science, The American Society of Plant Biologists, The New York Botanical Garden, Entomological Society of America,   Association of Avian Veterinarians,  Humboldt Field Research Institute   etc.
